Responsibilities
Supervises maintenance and operational functions to optimize the performance of a 24/7 Ohio EPA Class IV advanced water reclamation facility on a continuous basis. The Water Reclamation Plant Supervisor will oversee subordinate supervisors and staff, ensure efficient plant performance, NPDES permit compliance, regulatory compliance, process optimization, in addition to, improving energy efficiency. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to, troubleshooting, repair and record keeping on operations and equipment use. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of SCADA systems and environmental regulations and will have considerable latitude in making maintenance and equipment adjustments, daily operating decisions and employee assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
Must meet one of the following:
Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or equivalent region.
License Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter as a term and condition of continued employment.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Ohio EPA Water Reclamation Operator Class III license at time of application.

Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination including drug screen. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Wastewater Technology, Environmental Science or a closely related field AND 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water reclamation facility. One of the 2 years must have been in a supervisory capacity; OR
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Wastewater Technology, Environmental Science or a closely related field AND 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water reclamation facility. One of the 5 years must have been in a supervisory capacity; OR
- Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND 8 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water reclamation facility. One of the 8 years must have been in a supervisory capacity.
