What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Services Program Leader position at City of Deer Park?
GENERAL PURPOSE Position leads a variety of administrative and semi-skilled tasks in the operation of programs, front desk, and special events for the Senior Services division, may assist other divisions if needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED Position works and leads under the general supervision of the Recreation Specialist, Senior Services Supervisor
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Partially supervises part-time program aides with the help of the Recreation Specialist, Senior Services Supervisor
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- May oversee the general operation of the game room and program rentals with the assistance of the Recreation Specialist, Coordinator and Recreation Supervisor
- Assist with programs day trips and overnight trips as assigned or as needed
- Will Supervise Program Aides in the evenings, weekdays & holidays
- Drive City vehicles including trucks, passenger vans and buses
- Must be available Monday thru Sunday during the year
- Typical duties will include but not limited to: online registration/memberships, completing required reports, opening/closing buildings for meetings, light custodial duties, lead programs and assist with special events, work rentals, clean vehicles, run errands, administrative duties
- Assist with training program duties, scheduling, and performance evaluations for Program Aides
- Assist with training programming duties, scheduling, and performance evaluations for program aides.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience: work experience with the public desired, good communication skills, knowledge of computer usage, great attitude, flexible, office skills, finance skills
- Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Customer Service skills required
- Tools & Equipment Used: (Not limited to) personal computer, calculator, copy/fax/scan machine, phone, portable radio, automobile, hand truck, IPAD, tablet, cell phone, computer / registration software.
- CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Commercial Driver's License: Required or ability to obtain one

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
