POSITION SUMMARY
The Recreation Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life in Durant by planning, implementing, and managing a diverse range of recreational programs and events. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of city parks and facilities, and promoting recreational opportunities to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position encompasses three key areas of responsibility: Service Management, Event Logistics, and Marketing Coordination. The following duties outline the primary responsibilities of this position. This list is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned as needed. To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to effectively fulfill each of these core responsibilities.
1. Manage Concessions:
· Recruit, Hire, Train, and Schedule Concession Staff
· Supervise concession operations, inventory, sales, and customer service.
· Ensure food safety and quality control standards are met according to the Oklahoma Health Department.
· Monitor and analyze concession sales data to improve profitability.
· Oversee the daily operations of recreation facilities, including maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.
· Manage inventory, concessions, and equipment effectively.
2. Lead Recreation Services:
· Plan, implement, and evaluate a diverse range of recreational programs and events.
· Manage all aspects of program delivery, including scheduling, staffing, and budget oversight.
· Provide exceptional customer service to all participants.
3. Engage the Community:
· Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote programs and events.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and volunteers.
· Conduct outreach and gather community input to inform program development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $43,492.80 per year
