A Seasonal Maintenance Tech II employee performs manual and unskilled maintenance work at various city park buildings. Assist in the daily cleanup of park shelters and various park buildings.
Physical Requirements:
Daily, lift and/or carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds. Assistive devices are available.
- Performs general cleaning of City-owned facilities as assigned using a variety of equipment such as backpack blower, golf cart, varies hand tools.
- Collects waste and recyclables for disposal;
- Responds to immediate needs for cleaning;
- Waters Annuals in and around district;
- Cleans and sanitizes spills;
- Touch up painting;
- Communicates courteously, professionally and maintains working relationships with others in carrying out job functions; conveys basic information to the public when approached with questions.
- Performs all job duties in compliance with safety guidelines and with an ongoing awareness of safety practices; wears proper protective equipment when policy requires, or conditions indicate a need exists and utilizes proper body mechanics and ergonomics while performing work.
- Maintenance and cleanliness throughout the 50th and France district.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license. The job requires the ability to read instructions, calculate proportions, and communicate verbally with the public or City employees.
