What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Administrative Assistant position at City of Erie?
JOB SUMMARY
Provide administrative support for the Office of Human Resources.
SPECIFIC DUTIES The duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
1. Maintain accurate and confidential records for all City of Erie Employees such as new hires, transfers, retirements, terminations, etc.
2. Maintain accurate attendance records including sick leave and vacation time to ensure proper payment of benefits for payroll purposes.
3. Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, answering the phone, photocopying, making appointments, processing mail,,etc.
4. Responsible for CDL License Tracking, and Applicant Tracking for all departments.
5. Support the Benefits Coordinator with Unemployment Compensation and new hire training.
6. Manage and update HR databases, compile reports and spreadsheets as necessary.
7. Assist with reference checks and employee verifications.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma (Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred)
Three (3) years office experience in Human Resources
Microsoft Office Suite Proficient including Excel
Experience with Adobe
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
