What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Instructor position at City of Florence?

- High school diploma or GED supplemented by six (6) months to one (1) year of experience as a leisure service instructor
- Valid South Carolina Class “C” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to successfully obtain one during the initial six (6) month probationary period
The Activity Instructor has a variety of responsibilities such as registering program participants, maintaining records, conducting facility and vehicle inspections, operating vehicles and equipment safely, and planning, coordinating, and implementing activity programs. Must possess basic computer knowledge and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a Class “C” Commercial Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within the first six months of employment. Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
