What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Leader position at City of Fort Lupton?
This position is a Seasonal Position.
Summer Camp Training will take place the month of May (may include nights/ weekends).
Summer Camp starts May 28th and ends August 2nd.
Part-Time 20-30 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
Starting Range of the Position: $15.92-$19.10
The Summer Camp Leader position provides direction and supervision of activities in a child care setting within the guidelines of established policies.The following duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in supervision and instructing of a variety of activities for children ages 5-12.
- Enforces rules and regulations in accordance with state, local and department policies.
- Ensures safety of child, parents, visitors and co-workers.
- Maintains the cleanliness of facilities and vehicles.
- Performs minor and routine maintenance, as needed.
- Communicates with parents regarding child's activities.
- Makes recommendations for changes to improve child care program.

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, rescue, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push, pull, jump, climb, reach, talk, hear, and see. The employee is also required to frequently perform light to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three months of full time or equivalent part time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school age children.
Bilingual preferred.
LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION:
CPR or obtainable before first day of employment.
First Aid or obtainable before first day of employment.
AED or obtainable before first day of employment.
Standard Precautions or obtainable before first day of employment.
Medication Administration or obtainable before first day of employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENT:
Minimum age of 18 years.
