Job Description
Incumbent works under the direction and general guidance of the Planning Manager performing a variety of technical duties in support of the City’s local code enforcement program; monitors and enforces a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, public nuisance, building codes, blight, graffiti, and other matters of public concern; and serves as a resource and provides information on City codes, ordinances and other regulations to property owners, residents, businesses, the general public, and other City departments and divisions.

STARTING HOURLY PAY: $18.37 p/h
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent, (GED)
- Two (2) years of work experience involving a high level of public contact including some experience dealing with the public in an enforcement, inspection, investigation, or customer service capacity.
- Valid driver’s license. Must meet City’s insurability requirements.
Other Conditions:
- Must pass a background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience that includes the enforcement of municipal codes, land use administration or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Specialized training and/or college level coursework in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, or other related field.
