Summary of Position
This position will support the proper set-up, take-down, maintenance, and operations of the facility, including monitoring activities and ensuring safety of participants.
Hours are flexible, depending on shift. Hours for this position:
Monday-Friday: 5:30PM-10:15PM, Saturday: 8:00AM-10:00PM, Sunday: 8:00AM-10:00PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor facility activities and enforce program rules and safety regulations, following proper emergency procedures.
- Assist with implementation and promotion of special events and community programs.
- Responsible for facility opening, room set-up and take down, and closing the facility.
- Assist with light maintenance of building and grounds and clean and make minor repairs to equipment and facilities.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does (not) have employee supervisory responsibilities. Staff will supervise participants to ensure safety, and enforcement of rules/regulations.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 16 years of age.
- Customer service experience.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications.
- Previous custodial and/or cleaning experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work is conducted mostly indoors. Employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Employee is subject to noise, during events and activities, but generally free from additional work hazards.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer, and telephone, as well as equipment/tools consistently found community center operations, and maintenance. Staff will frequently read and interpret documents, including safety manuals and operating procedures. Staff will frequently traverse around the community center. Will occasionally lift items, including recreation equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
