Performs general maintenance on tennis courts. Responsible for making tennis court reservations and collecting fees for court use.
- Prepares tennis courts daily for play by watering and brushing seven Vel-play courts. Periodical maintenance of courts includes top dressing, application of salt, and patching erosions and depressions. Inspects court fixtures and equipment for needed repair.

Collects tennis court use fees. Operates cash register and assigns courts to patrons. Makes reservations for tennis court usage. Issues tickets for tennis court play. Inspects patrons for proper foot gear.

Establishes and sets up matches for singles leagues and double leagues. Registers applicants for tennis lessons. Distributes information concerning registration for lessons and tournaments. Maintains inventory of stock and supplies; sells retail tennis items.

Performs a variety of clerical duties such as filing and maintaining records.
- Maintains accurate records of court utilization and program attendance. Ensures accountability of financial transactions and documentation of registrations.

Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance.
- Performs other related duties as required.
High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred. Requires knowledge of the game of tennis and the ability to use a cash register. Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others. Must be able to perform physically demanding work.
Must successfully pass a background check related to this position.
Performs duties under the direct supervision of the Director of Tennis who reviews work daily. Work schedule may require working evenings, weekends and some holidays. Requires extensive contact with the public. Must be cordial to all citizens regardless of their disposition.
