CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER (Wastewater Construction Department) - starts at $24.00/hour
The City of Jeffersonville is now accepting applications for a CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER with the Waste Water Department. Requires a High School Diploma/GED. Minimum of 5 years construction experience in sanitation systems or closely related area. Prefer a minimum of one year supervisory or team lead experience. Equivalent combination of education, skills, training and experience may be considered. Must possess or obtain at least a Class B CDL within 6 months.
Position Summary: Leads City construction crews assigned to projects and repairs for the City. Performs repair and construction of waste/wastewater lines, meter work, and other related projects. Assist Construction Supervisor with ensuring all equipment and materials are available for successful completion of assigned projects and with administrative and supervisory responsibilities including training, appraising performance and disciplining assigned staff. Maintains safe working conditions for all employees and the public.
