The City of Jennings is accepting applications for a Public Works Manager to supervise all public works job duties while effectively motivating and directing the Public Works personnel in undertaking all the work required to maintain and grow transportation and utility networks. This includes water, wastewater, and roadway infrastructure. Must be Class A CDL certified.
Qualifications

- Experience with budget management and resource allocation
- Familiarity with maintenance and operation of public infrastructure
- Ability to effectively use an ohmmeter and other technical tools for assessments
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage public works projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of infrastructure, including roads and bridges.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical assessments and troubleshooting.
- Supervise staff and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four or more years of experience in directing personnel. Starting salary $61,340 (GS-25-C).
