What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp Counselor position at City of Kinston?
Provides daily guidance and interaction to campers (aged 5-12 years) in the area of social skills, physical exercise, and arts and crafts. Position is a temporary/seasonal position and will operate from June 23rd through August 8th, 2014. (Approx. 7 weeks) Employee reports to the Day Camp Director.
- Facilitates activities for campers as directed.
- Provides instructions and guidance in numerous arts and craft projects.
- Acts as chaperon while on outings.
- Other duties as required.
- Must be minimum of 17 years of age.
- Knowledge of a variety of athletics activities.
- Knowledge of a variety of arts and crafts.
- Experience with children aged 5-12.
- Ability to interact with campers, family, and public.
