THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for a
Head Swim Coach
- Do you have a high school diploma or equivalent?
- Are you 18 years of age OR older?
- Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills?
- Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment?
- Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer?
- Do you have swim team experience?
- Do you have swim team coaching experience or want to gain experience?
- Have you planned, prepared, or implemented structured swim practices and meets?
As the Head Swim Coach, you will work:
- Approximately 30 - 35 hours per week between 7 am and 12 pm.
- There will be some Thursday evening and Saturday morning practices and meets.
- Swim practices and meets will occur at the Leawood Aquatic Center and surrounding Johnson County pools.
- The Pool Season runs from May to September.
A few of the things you will be doing include:
- Developing, organizing, and executing structured swim practices and meets during scheduled times.
- Overseeing and assessing the performance of assistant coaches.
- Making decisions regarding inclement weather and informing participants and parents about delays or cancellations.
- Representing the City and the swim team at meetings and special events.
