The City of Liberty's Parks & Recreation Department is looking for Seasonal Lifeguards for our pools at the Liberty Community Center. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and have necessary qualifications to be considered. As a Seasonal Lifeguard, you will supervise the pool area, ensuring safety, rules and regulations are followed while also serving as a Certified Lifeguard and instructor for swimming lessons for youth and adults. We offer flexible scheduling and a fun atmosphere.

- Proactively support department functions ensuring community’s needs are being met.
- Keep the pool deck clean and equipment stored in a neat fashion.
- Perform periodic spot-check cleaning in the locker room areas such as pick up trash, wipe down sinks and mirrors.
- Perform proper procedures for any emergency situation.
- Check pool chemistry as assigned and follow chemical adding instructions.
- Be consistently alert and professional while on duty.
- Proactively engage and interact with citizens to ensure their customer experience leaves a positive impact.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Community Center, greet customers with a cheerful and positive attitude and tend to customer needs.
- Communicate to both parents and children your lesson plan for the class and be cheerful and friendly to all participants.
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure quality municipal services for our citizens.
- Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
- Past experience in pool supervision and swim lessons preferred.
