The City Engineer's primary job objectives are to review plans for street, drainage system, and private development construction projects and to inspect construction for compliance with approved plans and specifications; perform the administrative duties associated with the City's compliance activities mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
