What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Director position at City of Memphis Careers?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the general direction of the Athletic Manager. Coordinates with the Athletic Specialists to supervise various athletic facilities for league play, clinics, tournaments, and special events. Completes incident and accident reports and able to respond immediately in case of emergency. Prepares and cleans facilities prior to and after events. Monitors facilities by driving to various locations, enforces facilities’ policies and procedures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to traverse athletic facilities and fields and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to operate a vehicle.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an athletic facility. Which may include working in weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Must possess and maintain a driver’s license as a condition of continued employment. Must successfully complete training program to obtain CPR certification and maintain as a condition of continued employment. Experience in playing, officiating, or monitoring extremely preferred.
