SPLASH PAD ATTENDANT
POSITION TITLE: Splash Pad Attendant
DEPARTMENT: RECREATION
HOURLY RATE: $17.51
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT REPORTS TO: RECREATION DIRECTOR
JOB SUMMARY:
The Splash Pad Attendant is a seasonal position that reports to the Recreation Director and is responsible for general maintenance and supervision of the splash pad area. This position will maintain safety of patrons at the Splash Pad and surrounding area in Memorial Park during operational hours: 10AM – 6PM, Monday – Sunday. Variable shifts. Hours may vary depending on weather.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor activities, provide instructions
- Enforce posted rules in a consistent manner
- Caution patrons regarding unsafe practices, safety hazards
- Be on time and cover all assigned hours
- Monitor chemical levels and meters
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor(s)
- Work together as a team with other staff personnel
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including uniform requirements
- Maintain a safe and clean park environment
- Restrooms and trash cleaning and removal
- Other related duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must 18 years old or older
- Must have a valid State of Ohio Driver License
- Experience working with the public or customer service experience, preferred.
- Experience working with splashpads or pools, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES:
· Ability to work independently in the absence of specific instructions, manage time, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure
· Ability to speak, write and understand the English language with a high degree of clarity and be able to use a standard phone system in a professional manner
· Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions; problem solve
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, supervisors, and guests of the splash pad/park facilities

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
