The City of Pasadena Water and Power Department (PWP) is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Systems Engineer/Administrator to perform highly complex duties in the planning and administration of the PWP’s enterprise server and data storage infrastructure and in the installation, configuration, maintenance and administration of operating system and other core software and support systems; serves as an expert technical advisor on complex infrastructure, systems software, security and disaster recovery issues; serves as project leader on large-scale conversions, upgrades and infrastructure changes; and performs related duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise systems technology systems, including cloud-hosted and on-premise, with limited oversight and supervision. They will be responsible for the integration and support of cloud infrastructure. Incumbents will work with other members of the support team to ensure efficient and reliable system communication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in management information systems, computer science, or a closely related field and
- Six years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of a complex multi-platform server operating systems environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is desired
- Experience with the Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) data structure and configuration is desired
- Experience managing batch scheduler systems is desired
The tentative selection process will consist of a training and experience evaluation, a panel interview, and a department-level interview.

Certification as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2023 Architect Associate and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2023 Multicloud Architect Associate are highly desirable.
For certain assignments, successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation is required, including a review of employment history, criminal conviction record, use of intoxicants and/or other controlled substances. In these cases, incumbents may be asked to work at secure locations and access highly confidential materials and information, in addition to working on systems that have city-wide impacts.
Salary : $122,358 - $152,947
