What are the responsibilities and job description for the Code Enforcement Officer position at City of Perryville?
The Perryville Police Department is accepting applications for employment for the position of Code Enforcement Officer. This position is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the City of Perryville’s Code of Ordinances Chapter 8.20 – Nuisances and other municipal codes, as well as, providing operational support to the Police Patrol division as needed. The typical working hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with the exception of special events or extra coverage as necessary. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B or above Missouri POST certification
- Satisfactory driving record and hold a valid Missouri Driver's License
- Have no pending or prior felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions related to domestic violence
- Free of any piercings or visible tattoos on the head, neck, or hands

The starting salary for this position is $25.61 per hour with an increase to $26.63 after successfully completing the probationary period.
