What are the responsibilities and job description for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government is hiring: Teaching Artist - Printmaking in position at City of Raleigh Municipal Government?
Pullen Arts Center is seeking Teaching Artists who have a passion for their medium and for sharing their love of creating with others. We are currently accepting applications from artists who have experience teaching adults in printmaking.
Teaching Artists should be able to :
- Develop the curriculum for classes they propose and identify supply / equipment needs for classes well in advance of class start dates.
- Work with students with a wide range of artistic experience levels and abilities and with a wide range of personality types.
- Be supportive and encouraging to students, meeting each student where they are in their artistic development.
- Provide and deliver an inclusive experience to the arts and creativity.
- Communicate with front desk staff, Printmaking Studio Coordinator, and Center Director / Assistant Director if assistance prepping student work between classes, fixing equipment or ordering supplies is needed.
- Assist in making sure the studio is operating safely and efficiently and complete required PRCR training.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
