What are the responsibilities and job description for the POOL MANAGER position at City of Riverside?
This is a seasonal, part-time, hourly position working under the direction of the Aquatics Team. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.

Education: High School graduation or satisfactory equivalent (GED).
Completion of college level course work is highly desirable as well as the possession of current Instructor's Certificates for Lifeguard, Standard First Aid or Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Levels A-E (issued by the American Heart Association).
Experience: At least two pool seasons (a minimum of six months) of full-time lifeguard/teaching experience.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Possession of a current Water Safety Instructor's Certificate within six (6) months from hire date.
- Possession of a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate (which includes first aid).
- Possession of a current American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer Certificate or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
Highly Desirable Qualification:
- Current Water Safety Instructor's Certificate
1) Completed Employment Application
2) Completed Supplemental Questionnaire
3) Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate (which includes first aid), and one of the following: current American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer Certificate OR current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate must be scanned and attached to the online application.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education obtained outside the United States (US) require one of the following options:
- An equivalency statement from an evaluation company certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) at http://www.naces.org/members.html or the Association of International Credential Evaluators Inc. (AICE) at http://aice-eval.org/members/.
- An advanced-level degree from an accredited US college or university.
