Facility Technician

Under the general direction of the Facility Supervisor, monitors activities and events held at the Center, prepares facility for meetings and community events, completes cleaning tasks, and maintains security of the facility.1. Sets up tables, chairs, P.A. equipment, and other supplies in preparation for meetings and events scheduled at the Center.

• Opens, closes, and secures the building at the beginning and end of each day as needed for events scheduled at the Center.
• Works cooperatively with the cleaning service to insure good presentation of the facility.
• Changes messages on the marquee as requested from the Director or Human Specialist I.
• Provides information and support services to visitors of the Center who require assistance.
• Performs cleaning duties (interior and exterior) as directed and necessary.
• Performs light maintenance to landscaping (watering, weeding).
• Works cooperatively with other staff of the Center to help the community fully utilize services of the Center.
• Maintains and supports professional behavior and appearance.

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school or GED. Must demonstrate the ability to work in an organized, safe manner within the context of a facility.

Experience

Requires general knowledge of cleaning and safety practices.

Requires the ability to pass a criminal background check and substance use screening.

Must maintain a valid driver's license.
