About this Position:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Dining Room Attendant, to work in the Seattle Center Armory. This position works in a team that is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Armory dining area and associated spaces that are open to the public. The work of this team is to present a clean and welcoming environment for patrons of the Seattle Center Armory. Shifts are generally between the hours of 10:00 am and 9:30 pm depending on events.
- Monitor dining area, clean tables using a pushcart containing cleaning supplies and trash containers
- Sweep, dust mop and mop floors
- Adjust tables and chairs to keep the dining area safe and organized.
- Empty garbage, compost and recycling bags and clean large garbage receptacles weighing up to 25 pounds
- Operate and maintain cleanliness around trash compactor and receptacle can washer
- Provide uplifting customer service while answering general questions from patrons
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to interact in a helpful and courteous manner with a diverse workforce and patrons.
- Demonstrated ability to read and speak in the English language.
- Experience working in the food service or janitorial industry or having applicable work history.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Shifts are generally between the hours of 10:00 am and 9:30 pm depending on events
- Able and willing to work the shift assigned which will include working weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry items safely up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
The full salary range for this position is $18.69 - $ 21.26 per hour.
