What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Maintenance Workers - Public Works position at City of Shoreview?

The City of Shoreview is hiring seasonal maintenance positions to work full-time this summer in the streets or utility divisions of our Public Works Department. You can apply for one or both positions. Get ready to enjoy the great outdoors this summer!Street Position Responsibilities include:

Assisting with street maintenance and repairs
Assist with traffic signs
Other general labor

Utility Position Responsibilities include:

Water/sewer line maintenance/repairs
Flushing and painting hydrants
Other general labor

Minimum Requirements:

Valid, unrestricted driver's license
HS diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. and occasionally lift/move 100 lbs.
18 Years of age or older
Must be able to take work direction and be to work on time

Estimated length of position: Mid-May/early June to late August/early September.

Hours: 40 hours per week, generally 7 am - 3:30 pm.

Rate of Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
