What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Services Attendant II position at City of Shreveport?
The Automotive Services Attendant II serves to assist other fleet services employees in the service, repair and maintenance of City owned automobiles, buses, engineering (heavy duty) operating, trucks, and other vehicles.1. Changes tires, tubes and fuses of City vehicles.
2. Notifies higher authority when necessary to reorder tires and related materials to insure adequate stock on hand.
3. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
1). High School Diploma or GED or the equivalent.
2). Ability to perform assigned tasks.
3). Two (2) years of experience in automotive service work, preferred.
4). Customer service skills towards internal customers.Physical Demands:
1. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
2. Requires specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
3. Eye-hand-foot coordination and manual dexterity.
4. Employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
5. Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
Work Environment:
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
2. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical conditions.
3. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
4. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
