Essential Duties
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Monitors aquatics facility and guests, and ensures compliance to rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Assists and performs any necessary rescues in compliance with the Emergency Action Plan.
- Oversees and observes operations and activities in aquatic facilities in absence of a pool manager or assistant pool manager.
- Coordinates and organizes activities and special events; instructs water safety and swim classes.
- Reports and resolves complaints, special requests, safety conditions, security issues and illegal activities within scope of authority.
- Responds to questions, issues and concerns and provides excellent customer service; promotes City goals and priorities in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues, client records and City information.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary. Example combinations include:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Two (2) years of experience as a swim instructor is preferred.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate.
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
- American Red Cross First Aid.
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
