Job Standards
The Office of Public Utilities, Water Division is seeking an individual to perform tasks to ensure building is clean at all times, which includes the office, work areas, meeting areas, common areas, restroom facilities and grounds. This position requires knowledge of the various chemicals used to properly clean the facility and the ability to maintain assigned equipment in clean operating condition. Perform watchman duties on Sundays and on a relief basis. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school. Prior janitorial experience preferred. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time residents.
The hours for this position:
Monday through Thursday: 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Watchman duties on Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
