Job Purpose: As a School Crossing Guard, you'll provide essential support for the safety of children crossing the street during school hours. Your duties will include directing traffic, regulating pedestrian flow, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include:

• Traffic Regulation: Safely regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at designated crossings to facilitate the safe passage of children.
• Event Support: Provide traffic control support at special events and non-school locations as assigned.
• Reporting: Report motorists who fail to adhere to safe driving practices in school crossing zones.
• Other Duties: Assist with any other assigned tasks related to pedestrian and traffic control.
  
  

Required Qualifications: To qualify for this role, you must:

• Basic Skills: Possess the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Driver's License: Hold a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia, with a motor vehicle record insurable under the city’s insurance plan.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications: While no prior experience is required, the following qualifications are desirable:

• Traffic Knowledge: Understanding of traffic control principles and pedestrian safety practices.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and school personnel.
