What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crew Leader position at City of Three Rivers?
The City of Three Rivers Department of Public Services is seeking a qualified individual for full-time Crew Leader. Under the direction of the Public Services Director, this position is a working crew leader who is responsible for overseeing a crew of employees who generally maintain City infrastructure including but not limited to water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, streets, cemetery, parks, and airport. Incumbent is also expected to organize workload to maximize efficiency of City crews, plan, assign, and direct work schedules, assist in completion of annual performance evaluations for assigned employees and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements: Training and experience in the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy trucks and construction equipment along with knowledge of municipal infrastructure.
- High school graduate or GED
- Valid Class B CDL Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
- A Michigan S-4 Drinking Water Distribution license is required for this position. If candidate does not hold the required license, the incumbent must obtain a S-4 Drinking Water license within the timeline specified by the City in the employment offer.
- Five years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
This is a full‐time non-union position with a pay rate up to $28.54 hour plus excellent benefits.
