The Transportation Engineer - Project Manager will be part of a team of talented engineers working in the Transportation Division of City Engineer’s Office. The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties of a complex nature related to transportation engineering and project management. Types of projects include:
- New Roadway Alignment
- Roadway Widening
- Intersection Improvements
- New Traffic Signals & Replacements
- Bridges and Bridge Replacements
- Sidewalks, Shared Use Paths and Trails
- Stormwater Projects
Representative work functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the overall project development including planning, design, engineering, and construction support.
- Review project plan or studies for various infrastructure related projects, including conceptual design, preliminary engineering reports, cost estimates, design calculation or computations, exhibits, plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Apply project management techniques for various project to ensure projects are delivered within its scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Manage projects from inception through construction completion.
- Prepare reports and maintain document records.
- Assist in bid and contract management for design and construction.
- Assist in preparing material for public meetings.
This position will be filled as an Engineer I, II, or III, based on qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.
