Initial Review Date: 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 10, 2024.Seeking a motivated, independent and experienced temporary worker primarily to assist and support the Water Service Specialist and Water crew as a laborer. Full-time, up to 40 hours per week. Up to a maximum of six (6) months.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Operates a variety of equipment such as a pick-up truck, compressor- skid steer, backhoe, loader, iPad and safety equipment.Assist with excavation of holes and trenches up to 12 feet deep.Assists with installing and repairing water service lines, fire hydrants, fire lines, meters and meter chambers, water mains and main line valves.Assists with meter installations, water chamber inspections and service line connections.Assists in removing and replacing asphalt or concrete in construction excavation of water mains or services.Participates in regularly scheduled maintenance tasks including main line valve exercising, line flushing, pressure regulating valve maintenance and meter repairs.Assists with traffic control around construction sites including assembly and set up of traffic control devices such as barricades, cones and flag stands.Maintains a clean work environment. Performs clean up tasks throughout shift.Other duties as assigned.
