As a Recreation Aide 1 - Cashier for the City of Wichita, you’ll be the first friendly face that pool guests see when they arrive. This seasonal role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience handling transactions, assisting patrons, and being part of a team that keeps our neighborhood pools running smoothly.In this position, you'll greet and check in guests, process payments for pool passes, and answer questions to ensure every visitor has a positive experience. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist guests with checking in and purchasing daily pool passes.Recognize and respond effectively in emergenciesEnforce all City of Wichita Parks pools policies and proceduresParticipate in regular in-service trainingAssist in cleaning the facility and related areas and maintenance and operation of pool equipmentThese examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed.At no time should any other job duties interfere with the primary responsibilities of a lifeguard: The safety of the patrons
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Required Experience and TrainingMust be at least 16 years oldObtain an American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid certifications no later than 06/11/2025Applicants must satisfactorily demonstrate required skills including CPR-PR and first aid.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship. Preferred Experience and TrainingHave a current American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid.Previous cash handling experience. Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.
