What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utilities Crew Leader position at City of Winder?
The Utilities Crew Leader is assigned to the Construction and Maintenance Supervisor or through the chain of command to the Utilities Director. Under general supervision performs a variety of work in the general maintenance of water and natural gas utilities. The work is performed as a member of a crew and a supervisor of a crew, although specific individual assignments of a more limited nature may be performed.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License and maintain valid license and good driving record
- State of Georgia Water Distribution License or a minimum of seven (7) covered tasks under the City of Winder's Natural Gas Operator Qualification Program.
Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Three (3) years of general or specialized construction or water and gas utilities experience
- No felony convictions within the prior ten (10) years or while employed in the position
- A citizen of the United States or has obtained legal work status
- Must pass a detailed background investigation
- Work evenings, weekends and/ or holidays as required
