As the only fully-functional urban winery and live music venue in Manhattan, City Winery New York offers a refined, cultivated experience through our intimate concerts, fine dining, food & wine classes, and private events. We especially strive to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience to urban wine enthusiasts with our quality food and music. Our menus are inspired by Mediterranean history and cuisine, to be paired with the perfect selection of wine from our award-winning wine list and 20 in-house produced wines. Music, comedy, and spoken word performances are presented notably with our state-of-the-art Meyer Sound® system. Wine aficionados have the opportunity to create, bottle and label their own wines through a multitude of Barrel membership programs. The combination of wine, music, and culinary arts creates a truly indulging, unique experience bringing the wine country experience to the middle of a large city.
INDBOH- Maintain open line of communication with kitchen
- Refer to email for the nightly End Of Night Report for communications from Closing Manager to all BOH managers. Check with the Events’ Team for information on rentals needed for upcoming events. Stay well informed about all the shipments/packages for events & service, where they’ll need to be been placed, and how/when they’ll need to be pulled out for the event. Be sure to articulate storage of packages to the event’s owner.
- Take receipt of all deliveries at loading dock:
- Compare existing Purchase Orders (supplied by Executive/Sous Chef), with each
- Check for product expiration date and freshness level, as well as dented cans.
- Store received products in the walk-in cooler, freezer, or dry storage area,
- Once the product has been properly stored make a copy of the invoice for your
- Any product that is deemed “unacceptable”, if we have been shorted product or
- Check the stock frequently and submit orders to the Executive/Sous Chefs whenever supplies are low. In general, the linen vendor makes deliveries three times per week: on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
