What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey CAD Technician position at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.?
Overview
As a Survey CAD Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll assist a Licensed Surveyor or Survey Project Manager to prepare topographic survey maps, boundary surveys, subdivision plans and plats, and various exhibits and existing conditions base drawing.
Qualifications
- 2 years minimum experience with AutoCAD 2021 or later;
- Proficient at reading plans and plats;
- Proficient with descriptor coding, file upload and download;
- An understanding of coordinate translation, rotation, and datum adjustment within AutoCAD;
- Experience setting up drawings with Arizona State Plane coordinate system;
- Experience with drafting associated with Boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, Records of Surveys, and Civil Design surveys;
- Punctuality and reliability;
- An understanding of the principles and mathematics of surveying;
- College level survey courses, professional courses, technical courses, self-study a plus;
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
