Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both corporate and small business accounting practices, as well as proficiency in QuickBooks. This role requires a proactive individual who is willing to go above and beyond and can handle all aspects of bookkeeping, from journal entries to account reconciliation.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records by performing daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and managing accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for various companies
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review, providing insights into financial performance.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting, small business accounting, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with journal entries, debits, credits, and account reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies in financial data.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools is preferred.
Compensation will be determined based on the individual's experience, certifications and degrees.
