As a Building Automation Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role performing installations, troubleshooting, repairing, and programming control systems in commercial settings. This position requires a strong background in controls technology where you will leverage your expertise in electronics, direct digital controls, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and building control techniques to ensure that the Building Automation System (BAS) operates efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications to mount, assemble, test, and program the BAS in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
Responsibilities :
- Perform installations (commissioning) of HVAC control systems in commercial settings
- Troubleshoot and repair existing control systems to ensure optimal performance
- Program control systems to meet specific operational requirements
- Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications for system assembly and testing
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and equipment to mount and assemble control systems
