This position will facilitate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) workplace requirements within the manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Write, verify, validate, and/or maintain documentation for a safe workplace that meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Work with manufacturing team members to ensure safety procedures are understood and followed.
- Certified Trainer for EHS and Compliance.
- Devote time to being on the manufacturing floor for continuous improvement activities that promote safety and health at work.
- Accurate recording and maintenance of EHS documents.
- Strive for continuous improvement of current EHS systems, along with implementation of new systems.
- Lead/Participate in Monthly Facility Inspections.
- Complete Daily Walk-through of the Manufacturing Facility.
- Assist with External Audits.
- Perform Risk Assessments
- Identify Risk and Implement Controls to Reduce
- Know when corrective action is necessary, as well as the appropriate corrective action procedures (document, implement, and verify effectiveness).
- Training of new employees, current employees, and visitors/contractors on safety requirements.
- Assist with maintenance of an Approved Chemical List/Inventory
- Safety Data Sheets – Management
- Employee orientation and training.
- Meetings (e.g. department/production meetings, management meetings).
- Gain knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
- Creation of safety documents and records (e.g. procedures, checklists, charts, graphs); in conjunction with document and record control procedures.
- Present safety information as needed. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- 1. Employee orientation and training.
- 2. Meetings (e.g. department/production meetings, management meetings).
- Gain knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
