Description

Clack Corporation, a privately held company, established over 70 years ago is now hiring! We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of water treatment components and drinking water products, as well as specialized in custom blow molding products.

We are looking for a Warehouse Lead Person with a strong leadership background to join our team. The hours will be Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm.

Summary:    Assist with the day to day operations of the Clack East warehouse and personnel to ensure that proper materials management techniques are enforced.  Provides leadership to achieve the daily activities.  Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments. 

  1. Oversee all daily operations to maximize storage utilization of the warehouse area.
  2. Schedules and coordinates all warehouse staffing requirements and work assignments.
  3. Insures proper rotation of all inventory products.
  4. Acts as liaison between sales and shipping to meet customer demand.
  5. Enters receipts of incoming materials (goods received notes) as needed.
  6. Assist in the supervision of warehouse staff and operations.
  7. Research and rectify shipping errors timely.
  8. Trains and develops staff as necessary. 
  9. Administer company work rules, policies and practices.
  10. Responsible for maintaining proper facility cleanliness.
  11. Reviews and enforces all inventory procedures and systems.
  12. Assures corporate ISO policies and procedures are met.
  13. Insures all incoming and outgoing trucks are loaded and unloaded according to schedule.
  14. Works with other departments as required ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
  15. Provide material handling support as required.
  16. Pick and prepares orders for all shipments as needed.
  17. Assist in inventory counts.
  18. Insure corporate and departmental safety and operational procedures and guidelines are followed and enforced.
  19. Coordinate with various departments on production schedules, shipping schedules, to determine best utilization of warehouse space and staff.
  20. Monitor back orders and notify customer service staff prior to shipping.
  21. Provide receiving services.
  22. Unload and load trucks on time as scheduled.
  23. Assist where necessary by preparing orders for shipments, includes picking orders, packing, and counting of items.
  24. Assist with non-scheduled pick ups.
  25. Assist in the daily transfer between Clack East, Clack West, and Clack Capital.
  26. Assure daily forklift inspection is conducted and assures proper forklift maintenance and repairs are addressed.
  27. Provides necessary daily support to Warehouse Manager as required.
  28. Completes employee reviews in a timely manner
  29. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  1. Previous management experience required.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds infrequently. 
  3. Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.  Bending, twisting, pushing. Able to lift over your head.
  4. Constant mobility required to cover and traverse all areas of warehouse/facilities.
  5. Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. (license required)
  6. Assure trucks/trailers are safe and secure before entering (chocking wheels/docklocks)
  7. Knowledge of product and part numbers a must.
  8. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to work within changing temperature conditions.
  10. Good math skills.  Computer and calculator skills necessary.
  11. Able to work independently.
  12. Previous experience in warehousing, shipping, receiving, and/or material handling helpful.
  13. Flexible hours necessary.  Overtime may be required.
  14. Excellent interpersonal skills with other departments.
  15. Proficient with computer for entry and referencing.
  16. Able to deal with customers and truck drivers on a one to one basis.  
  17. Strong interpersonal skills.
  18. Highly motivated, self-starter.
