What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer position at Clare Bank, N.A.?

Clare Bank is a family owned community bank with eight branches in Southwest Wisconsin. We take pride in getting to know our customers and providing them with excellent customer service. Loans at Clare Bank are customer-driven. From the moment a customer initially makes an inquiry until after the closing, the loan officer proactively makes sure the customer understands everything and looks out for them. This includes things like answering their questions, explaining legal concepts in plain language, and helping them complete paperwork as needed.

Duties include:

-receiving loan inquiries from customers
-requesting necessary documents based on the type of loan
-going the “extra mile” to build trust, relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the process
-traveling to various communities and other appropriate locations to meet with prospective/current customers, obtain loan applications and other required documents, and attend closings as necessary
-filing final paperwork and maintaining customer files
-handling loans from start to finish
-operating in compliance with laws and regulations and adhering to Clare Bank's policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

-Strong task management skills and a willingness to learn

-Experience in at least one facet of the loan process is preferred. Willing to train and develop the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Loan officer: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Lending: 1 year (Preferred)
