- Adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assisting with communication between students and teachers in various educational settings.
- Providing interpretation services during classroom instruction, discussions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborating with educators to ensure the academic success and inclusion of deaf and hard of hearing students.
- 3.5 EIPA score or higher required.
- Competency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher)in ASL interpretation, deaf education, special education, or a related field.
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID certification) preferred but not required.
