Overview/Purpose of Position:

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a full-time patrol deputy. This position enforces all Federal, State, and local laws regarding criminal and traffic incidents, and is responsible for the preservation of public peace and protection of property. If interested in becoming a K9 Handler, this position may be assigned by the Sheriff to K9 duties.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age; Eligible to work in the US or a US citizen; Possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License; Physically and mentally able to perform the essential functions of the job; Offers of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a written test, physical and psychological examination as well as drug screening test; Good written and verbal communication skills; Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate; 60 college credits or Associate Degree; Have excellent moral character; Must meet requirements established by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board and/or be certifiable within 6 months of hire.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: The successful candidate may have no felony or domestic violence convictions and will be required to successfully complete an extensive background investigation, including criminal history.

Benefits:

Starting wage is $26.45- $31.14 per hour, depending on experience. This position qualify for a full county benefit package including: health, dental, vision Wisconsin Retirement System with County match, disability, paid time off and paid holidays.
