Clark Hill, PLC is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Accounts Receivable/Credit and Collections Department. This is a full-time position located in Detroit, MI
Position Summary:
Responsible for notifications and Credit and Collection Team support. This support includes managing the Billing and Collections notifications inbox. Research and answer client account questions from attorney(s)/counsel, secretaries, and clients.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain Notification Inbox
- Handle all Incoming Calls to Credit and Collections Department. Address client requests or forward to the appropriate individual.
- Prepare, obtain appropriate authorizations, and process AR write-offs.
- Generate process and distribute client Reminder Statements and designated reports (month end and others).
- Assist Credit & Collections Manager in preparation of accounts for adversarial litigation.
- Maintain Credit & Collection department Processes and Procedures Manual.
- Perform special projects and responsibilities as assigned or as appropriate.
- Through cross-training, serve as emergency back-up resource to other departmental positions within the Credit & Collections teams.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Assistant
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal parties and external clients of the Firm.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries (assistants), administrative staff and clients.
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding issues and problems.
- Understand and apply Firm Credit and Collection Policies.
- Observe and maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Elite or equivalent accounting software experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- ARCs knowledge is a plus but not required
- Pacer and Westlaw knowledge a plus.
- Excellent professional communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks through organizational and prioritization skills.
- Must display good judgment and make sound decisions.
- Must be flexible to change and be an enthusiastic supporter of departmental goals.
- Must be focused and persistent, with a willingness to ask direct questions.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends and evenings (particularly during the 4th quarter).
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is a necessity.
