ABOUT CLATSOP COUNTY

Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon. Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations. County services are provided through seven divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, and the District Attorney, and Sheriff’s Offices. The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district. The Facilities Department reports to the county administration division.
THE POSITION

Under supervision of the County Engineer, this position is to provide clerical, administrative, and customer support to the Public Works department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED, And
  • Minimum two (2) years of training and experience in a professional environment, or
  • Any combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be acceptable.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar software as indicated by previous job responsibilities or certifications.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Previous experience processing payments and handling cash.
  • Experience with data entry and accuracy.
  • Previous experience in an administrative position within a County department.
