Essential Functions: Responsible for providing basic health care services for enrollees and their families, and Clay County Child Care Center, Inc. Staff. Perform the following functions as outlined in the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS): counsel parents, children, and staff about proper preventive health care, hygiene, and sanitation. Responsible for supervisory oversight to the Food Service Supervisor. Responsible for providing Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) approved child nutrition support services for enrolled children, their families, and staff. In conformance with HPPS, provide nutrition support services to ensure adherence to CACFP regulations. Provide nutrition information and support to parents, children, and staff. Maintain and develop cooperative relationships with families, staff, and outside vendors/agencies, and service providers.
Education & Position Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a relevant discipline. Two to five years' experience in health services, preferably in a social service environment or combination of education and related experience. Certification as a CPR Instructor or obtain certification within ninety (90) days of employment. Experience working in a Head Start or nonprofit organization preferred.
