DIETARY AIDE POSITION TITLE: Dietary Aide
JOB SUMMARY: The Dietary Aide is responsible for the food preparation and service to the hospital patients, nursing home residents, employees and the public.

SUPERVISOR: Will report directly to the Dietary Director

QUALIFICATIONS AND DEMANDS OF THE POSITION:

1. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
2. Must have the ability and willingness to work and cooperate with other personnel in different departments.
3. Must have a genuine interest in the elderly and their dietary needs.
4. Some food service experience is required, preferably in a hospital or nursing home.
5. Extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping may be required while performing assigned tasks.
6. Must have an understanding of modified diets (will train)
7. Must have a knowledge of sanitation requirements.
