What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Detention Staff position at Clay County?
The Juvenile Detention Staff is responsible for the safety and security of each resident in the Clay County juvenile detention center. The staff members are expected to always enforce all policies and procedures while working with some degree of independence. The staff is charged with duties that include completing required documentation accurately and effectively, assisting in physical interventions, inventorying supplies, kitchen duties, and laundry duties.
Juvenile Detention currently has a full-time position on the evening shift.
Pay starts at $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on position title.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Youth Specialist - High School diploma
- Deputy Juvenile Officer - Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Social
- Work or a related human service field
- Must have a valid driver’s license and liability insurance
