Position Overview
CLEAR Audit Management is seeking a foundational sales leader to drive commercialization of our SaaS platform for OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). This is an opportunity to build the sales function from the ground up at a company positioned at the intersection of workplace safety and digital transformation. You'll work directly with the Founder/President to convert product development and strategic partnerships into sustainable revenue growth.
Location: This a majority remote role, with in-person engagement as needed. To support collaboration, candidates located in the West Georgia area are preferred.
The Opportunity
You will be CLEAR's first dedicated sales leader, responsible for translating our strategic partnerships and market momentum into sustainable revenue growth. This role combines strategic thinking with tactical execution. You'll define our sales playbook while actively closing deals. With a strategic partnership through VPPPA (Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association), established presence at regional conferences, and a qualified pipeline of prospects you'll enter with momentum and a clear path to early wins.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution
• Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure
• Convert existing warm leads into customers
• Develop and document repeatable sales processes, templates, and playbooks
• Represent CLEAR at OSHA regional and national conferences (booth presence, speaking sessions, networking)
• Build upon existing, and create new, relationships with safety leaders at VPP sites and OSHA federal, state and regional offices
• Understand, categorize and prioritize known prospects
Customer Success and Operations
• Design and implement customer onboarding processes
• Serve as primary point of contact for early customers, ensuring successful adoption
• Gather product feedback and communicate customer needs to the development team
• Establish metrics for customer health, retention, and expansion opportunities
Required Qualifications
• 3 years of B2B software/SaaS sales experience with proven track record of quota attainment
• Experience building sales processes and infrastructure from scratch (early-stage startup experience highly valued)
• Strong presentation and relationship-building skills; comfort with public speaking at industry conferences
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
• Willingness to travel (approximately 5-10% for conferences, customer meetings, site visits)
Differentiating Qualifications
• Comfort with startup environments, experience wearing multiple hats and building processes without extensive resources
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or safety-related industries
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, workplace safety, or compliance software
• Experience selling to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) professionals or operations leaders
• Understanding of audit/compliance management workflows
• Existing relationships within safety/compliance communities or professional associations
Compensation
Compensation structure will be custom developed for the right candidate to reflect experience, expertise, and strategic contribution.
