The Role:
As a Custom Applicator, you will be responsible for accurately mixing, loading, transporting, and applying chemical solutions—specifically litter amendments—at customer poultry facilities. This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service skills. Your responsibilities will include:
Application & Logistics:
- Safely and accurately apply litter amendments in poultry facilities according to customer specifications.
- Operate and maintain application equipment, including trucks and specialized machinery.
- Monitor application rates and adjust equipment settings as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling, loading, and applying chemicals such as chlorine-based solutions, acids, pesticides, and disinfectants.
- Deliver exceptional service by being punctual, professional, and responsive to customer needs.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to all biosecurity and safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, boot coverings, and eye/ear protection.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, application rates, and service details.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous materials.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on application equipment.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.
